While many tend to shift away from the use of the female plant, the other side of the isle - CBD works to bridge the gap between damaged neurons.
The same can be said for anyone who suffers a brain injury or nerve damage. Right now, the use of the methods to treat symptoms is rapidly gaining popularity among doctors, patients, and many others within the medical field.
The extensive costs for medication can be another major blow to those already suffering extreme symptoms. Trips to and from the hospital, prescription medications, and many other factors all create large-scale costs for individuals and families.
That is why being able to grow your own medication at home is helping to alleviate some of the cost. The use of CBD and MMJ for treating epilepsy is one of the most common uses and is sought after by most who look for relief.
All of these reasons are why so many are now choosing the side of home-grow for their medication.
For many who suffer from HIV/AIDS, the use of cannabis to treat the conditions is becoming a popular option. While it does not directly work to heal, cannabis can help treat some of the symptoms such as nausea and vomiting.
While prescription pharmaceuticals can help to keep the virus at bay, the side effects can take their toll on the body. Issues with loss of appetite and vomiting are some of the main side effects for going through the treatment and cannabis has been shown to drastically improve a person's appetite.

Cannabis works to treat damaged nerves in the spinal cord and other places within the body. Now more than ever, people are deciding that growing at home is the best way to help alleviate their pain while they fight the symptoms.
The most widely used method for treating chronic pain is Cannabis. Across the country, millions of Americans suffer from chronic pain through a number of different types. Within the spectrum of pain, many of those who suffer are rapidly turning to the aid of medical cannabis. While a doctor's visit can be expensive, purchasing licensed medical cannabis can add to the cost.
For many who suffer, and with health insurance prices high, many are finding the alternative treatment of cannabis to be just what they need. In fact, being able to grow it themselves is proving to be the go-to choice for them!
From muscle pain to sore and achy joints, the use of cannabis is skyrocketing among those who suffer mild to severe pain. With the high cost of medication and doctors’ visits, those who are afflicted are finding that growing their own is exactly what they need to keep going through the day.
Spinal cord injuries are common among athletes and laborers. With the stress on the back so high, it's no wonder issues can occur. Throughout all industries, many suffer a form of spinal cord injury at some point. For those people, they can often be stuck between a rock and a hard place: The first is the use of prescription painkillers. Often an individual can develop a dependency on them, leaving them at risk for addiction. The other side of the coin is that even though they might not want to take certain painkillers they are still left working in severe pain.
This is where the use of medical cannabis comes in. While some suffer a mild form of spinal injuries, the use of prescription opiates might be too much to treat. Instead, many are finding the use of cannabis to be exactly what they are looking for. Even more, so is the cost of growing at home vs paying for prescription medication. The cost can leave many families bankrupt. Having an at-home grow operation can help ease the sting of both back pain as well as the pain of paying large sums of money for a possible addiction.
It Saves You Money
While dispensaries make it easy and convenient for you to get a wide range of cannabis, there are significant downsides to buying cannabis vs. growing it yourself. Price is one of them.
In fact, where one plant at the store will cost upwards of $75, the cost of doing it at home is, on average, $.75. When you buy cannabis from a dispensary, you pay for more than the cannabis itself.
Dispensaries charge for packaging, exorbitant government taxes & licensing fees and service as well – expenses you can cut out by growing your cannabis at home.
Pure, Organic Cannabis
Another noteworthy reason for growing cannabis at home is the complete control you have over the quality and purity of the plants. Unlike buying from dispensaries, who treat their products with chemicals and
don’t disclose their production process, you know exactly where your harvest came from and what has been used to grow it. Pure, organic medical cannabis.
Easy and Satisfying
And much like a gardener or plant-enthusiast, the satisfaction and feeling of empowerment from growing your own medical cannabis is a reason in itself. And the best part? It is easy! With the right complete
indoor grow tent, your cannabis plants will thrive with minimal effort.

Before you choose your kit, make sure you know the legal limit of plants allowed in your state:
Step 1: Choose a Space for Your Grow Kit
You can put your grow kit in a closet, cabinet, basement or the corner of a room as long as it meets the following criteria:
Cool & Dry:
If your space is warm and humid, it can be hard to control the grow environment. Pick a cool, dry place.
Give Your Plants Air:
Plants need fresh air to thrive, and carbon dioxide (CO2) is essential to the process of photosynthesis – so you’ll need a steady stream of air flowing through your grow room. This can be achieved with an exhaust fan placed near the top of the room – to remove the warmer air – and a filtered air inlet on the opposite side near the floor. To provide a constant light breeze, it is a good idea to install a wall-mounted circulating fan in your grow room.
Size & Accessibility:
Make sure you have enough space for the number of plants you wish to grow as well as all the components of a grow kit such as ducting fans and lights. You’ll also need to be able to access the plants easily.
Access to Electricity:
You’ll need an outlet nearby for the grow lights.
Easy to Clean:
Make it as easy to clean as possible. Stick to easy-to-clean surfaces and stay away from carpets, drapes and raw wood if possible.
Room for Growth:
You may want to grow your collection of plants down the line. In addition, cannabis plants can double or even triple in size in the early stage of flowering, so ensure that you have adequate headspace.
Step 2: Choose Your Grow Lights
The quality of light in your grow room is the number one environmental factor when it comes to the quantity and quality of your medical cannabis. Depending on your budget, here’s what to keep in mind when picking a grow light:

Seeds or no Seeds?
You can grow cannabis with or without seeds.
Growing without seeds is called ‘cloning’. Clones are small cuttings taken from the mother plant. Since clones are already plants, they can give you a head-start. However, with clones you run the risk of bringing diseases or pests to your growing areas, which can infect and potentially kill your other plants.
For this reason, we recommend using seeds.
How to Identify a Good Seed
Cannabis seeds are either male or female. It is only the female seed that is used for growing buds, so the first thing you want to ensure is that you are buying feminized seeds.
The color of the seed also plays an important role. Stay away from light or green seeds – they are too young. A healthy cannabis seed is dark and has a wax-like coating. Some seeds also have a stripy pattern.
And then there is the hardness of the seed. The harder the seed, the better. If a seed breaks under pressure (for example by placing it between your thumb and index finger and squeezing it), it is of poor quality and should not be planted.
Another way of testing the quality of a seed is to place it in a glass of distilled water. If it floats, it is no good. If it sinks, it is ready for germination.
Soil and Water
Once you have your seed, all you need is soil and water. All out kits come with the best quality, pre-fertilized soil for the best grow conditions – no need to worry about adding nutrients. When it comes to watering your cannabis plants, the most important thing to remember is to not overwater. Cannabis plants are very susceptible to fungal root diseases when conditions are too wet, and overwatering is one of the most common mistakes made by the beginning grower.
Water your plants with filtered water for the best result.
The Harvest
After having cared for your cannabis plants for a couple of months, it is finally time to harvest them. This is the easy part. In this section, we explain how to harvest your crops and how much yield to expect.
How to harvest your cannabis
In total, you can expect to wait about 90 days from planting to smoking your cannabis. Harvesting and fermenting takes about 15-19 days.
When your plants are ready to be harvested, cut the whole plant just above the soil. Avoid touching the sticky buds – you don’t want to waste any of the essential oils.
The next step in this process is to trim your plants to get rid of any parts of the plant that have no active ingredients (these will cause a less smooth smoking experience and can make you cough). Use small scissors like nail scissors to remove the leaves from your buds.
Hang your plants upside down to dry in a cool, dark place with plenty of ventilation. This takes a while, but it’s important to be patient. Drying the plants slowly will make them develop a pleasant smell and taste – and make them milder to smoke. However, if they dry too slowly, they may catch mold which quickly ruins them.
How much yield to expect
The average cannabis plant generates between 4-7oz of yield per grow cycle (a grow cycle is approximately 90 days). As a rule of thumb, you can grow four grow cycles per year.
If you need help during the harvesting process, don’t hesitate to contact our customer service representatives Monday-Friday between 9.30am to 5.30pm (PST).
